Course Durations

Novice
Length: 3-5 days depending on 1-3 ratio
This thorough course is designed for individuals with little to no experience operating lift trucks. It covers essential topics including safe operation, theoretical knowledge (with questions and answers), the principals behind how forklifts work, the dangers of forklifts, and the necessary pre-use checks. The course follows the HSE Approved Codes of Practice to ensure compliance and safety.
Experienced
Length: 2-3 days depending on 1-3 ratio
The course is designed for individuals who have been operating a forklift without a validated training certificate. It provides the same inclusive instruction as the novice course, ensuring proper skills, knowledge and safety practices are developed.
Refresher Training
Length: 1 day depending on 1-3 ratio
HSE recommends that forklift operators undergo refresher training every 3-5 years. This course is designed for certified operators who need to update and maintain their certifications. This course also refreshes operators safety knowledge and safe practices.
Conversions
Length: 1-3 days depending on 1-3 ratio and trucks
This course is designed to take the necessary skills and knowledge an operator already holds with one type of truck and adapt it to a new truck. This involves understanding the safety and the skills needed to operate the new truck. This course varies in length depending on what truck the operator is being converted from and to.
